Some of you might have noticed some additional functionality on the www.sikhitothemax.com website in the way of Audio files.

The Sevadaars responsible for the site and many other Gursikhs have been working very hard over the last few months to improve the user’s experience of the site.

For the first 500 angs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib you can now listen to audio of each Shabad, this recitation has been done by Bhai Balbir Singh Jee. They will hopefully complete audio of every Shabad in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee very soon.

They have also linked many Keertan tracks to Shabads, this was able to be done by the co-operation of many other Websites and Sevadaars who went through Keertan collections and linked them to the Shabads in the way that the website could recognise them. We humbly thank those who donated gigabytes worth of Keertan of various styles to this seva. Below is just a example of one of the pages, we do not have a definitive list of the Keertan Tracks, so it might be a surprise for the user when they are looking for a Shabad they can listen to the Keertan of the shabad aswell:

The new SikhiToTheMAX 2 software will be released during this week. There were some issues with the size of the help files which is making it difficult to package up.

We will have to put them as a seperate download it looks.

Sangat Jee,

The sevadaars found some old photos in relation to the 1978 Amritsar Massacare, we scanned them and uploaded them for the Sangat. We did check the internet to see if they were anywhere else, sorry if we have duplicated the upload.

Also some sevadaars attended the 2007 Dehli Smagham. We tried to take pictures of what was happening around the Smagham as there are many photos of the actual Keertan and Keertanees. So we have uploaded photos of the Sangat, Langar Seva, Gursikhs etc… 

Overall impression of the Smagham is that the Pyaar Dehli Gursikhs show to Gursikhs abroad and other parts of India is something worth experiencing. You read stories about how smaghams in the old days were arranged and how Gursikhs do Seva night and Day, but to actually see it happening was inspirational. Some Gursikhs didn’t attend the actual Keertan, they were doing Langar Di seva or Transport Seva or Accomodation seva all the time. 

In Smaghams in the west we are lucky if we get Sangat in their Hundreds, but Gursikhs were arranging accomodation, Langar and Transport for Sangat in their Thousands. If anyone thought eating would be a problem at the Smagham rest assured the Langar was made by Gursikhs and no one we knew had any problems.

The amazing thing was to see the sevadaars always have a smile on their face and have time to talk to Gursikhs and then and there try and resolve any issues which might have come up.

They truely do ‘Sevatothemax’ and one can only ask Guru Jee to bless them with more Seva and also bless us to try harder than we do.

Sangat Jee,

Alot of the sangat have tried to attach URL’s of MP3’s on this site to forums and have had problems due to the file manager we have been using.

Fortunatley we have changed the File manager today over to a more user freindly one. If you goto the MP3 section the layout has not changed much, but you are now allowed to link to the files on this website from other websites or Forums.

We know it was fustrating for those who wanted others to listen to the files and hope that from now on you can.

If any problems please advise us as we can only correct if someone notifies us.

First of all we would like to apologise for not updating the blog with final chapters and parts for the Articles - Waheguru Gurmantar and Sachkhand Darshan.

However over the next few weeks we will hopefully conclude both Articles. Please take time to read them and absord the information in them.
