Dear Sangat Jee,

This month’s Youth Keertan Darbar at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara Coventry is in rememberance of Bhai Sahib Bhai Rama Singh Jee.

Bhai Sahib Jee holds a special place in the hearts of those Gursikhs he touched with his humilty and kindness. We fondly remember him as True Gursikh who Guru Jee blessed and who loved the UK Sikh Youth and encouraged them on Guru Jee’s path.

We at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara were very lucky that Bhai Sahib Jee took part in many important programmes linked to the Gurdwara. From Laying the Foundation stone of the new building and then being one of the Gursikhs chosen to officially open the New building (The picture on the poster is Bhai Sahib unvieling the plaque).

The sevadaars do not have the words to say how much Bhai Sahib influenced our lives and are eternally grateful to Guru Jee for the Sangat of his Gursikh.

For those who attend the Gurmat Class every Friday we advise that due to Khalsa Camp starting on Saturday there will not be a Gurmat Class this week also (Friday 17th).

Bhai Sahib Jee will be at Khalsa Camp taking classes all week.

We hopefully will start the Gurmat classes next week on the 24th. If there is any problems we will advise via this website.

Sangat Jee,

Sevadaars were priviliged to attend the Italy AKJ Smagham a few days ago. To meet the Sangat from all over Europe was Truely Guru Jee’s Blessing. We took a few photos and recorded the Rehnsbhai Keertan. More photo’s will be uploaded by our Veers from www.AKJ.org

Today is the 5th Barsi of Bhai Sahib’s Journey back to Guru Jee’s Lotus Feet. He left this world on August 1st 2002, in rememberence of Bhai Sahib there are programmes being held in Southall, these are the details:

There are 2 Programmes dedicated to his loving memory. The 1st will be a local simran programme that happens every Wednesday at Sikh Missionary Society, Southall. It starts at 7:15pm - 9pm. Bhai Sahib himself helped to get this weekly youth simran programme started.

The 2nd Programme will be on Staurday 18th August 2007 at the Sikh Missionary Society. This is actually a one week long smgham with the final darbar in memory of Bhai Sahib Jee.

Bhai Sahib Jee was one of the most amazing Gursikhs we have ever met. We were so lucky to have his company at Smaghams and other programmes for many years.

His sweetness and humility will always be remembered. The ability to make you feel special is only blessed upon those who have Guru Jee’s Upar Kirpa. His dedication and seva to the Panth and his own local sangat is a benchmark to which we should all aspire too. Many of the programmes he has inspired such as the simran programmes have been replicated in many Gurdwaras around the UK and mostly by the Youth.

His kindness towards the Sikh youth no matter what organisation you were part of was a trait not many elder sikhs have. He wanted the youth to understand that this world was temporary and without Seva, Simran and Sangat we are truley lost.

Remembering the funeral we saw not sadness amonst his Gursikh brothers and sisters but a feeling of thankfulness to Waheguru Jee that he allowed us to have sangat of such a Gurmukh.

The memory of Bhai Sahib Bhai Rama Singh Jee will always be with us.
