There will be a Keertan darbar like every year on new years eve at Gurdwara Sahib.

Majority of the Keertan will be done by the Youth, so can the Youth who normally turn up to the monthly Keertan also try and make it tonight.

With Guru Jee’s Kirpaa we had a amazing few days!!

The Sri Akhand Paath Sahib and the Youth Akhand Keertan Smahgam was a amazing experience for those who fully participated and got immense laha. The Audio and Pics for the Smahgam will be posted on www.akj.org please check that site for any updates.

The Annual Camp has also finished today and again it has been a very successful camp with around 140-160 kids participating, Sevadaars are checking and uploading Pics tonight and will have quite a few uploaded, but there is still more to come. You can find them in the gallery section under Gurmat Camp 2006 Album.

We will also upload Dec Youth Keertan Darbar Photos in the next few days.

Sevadaars would like to thank all the Gursikhs who particpated from Coventry and outside Coventry in making all the programmes successful, without you and above all Guru Jee’s Kirpaa it would not have been a success.

We had a very successful Seva Day this saturday in which alot of sevadaars turned up from 9am - 8pm. We thanks those who turned up and contributed, May Guru Jee bless you with more Seva.

Now for the week ahead, this will be the most busiest week in the Gurdwara Calendar. Below is the timetable for the 3 main programmes which are happening from 19th - 26th December. Akhand Paath Sahib, AKJ Youth Keertan Smagham and the Annual Sikh Youth Camp.

Akhand Paath Sahib

Start - Tuesday 19th December - 04:00 am (After AmritVela)

Bhog - Thursday 21st December - 04:00 am.

The Akhand Paath will be in the Main Hall. A benthi from the Sevadaars please come and listen to as much of the Paath as possible.

AKJ Youth Keertan Smagham

Thursday 21th December, Asa Ki Vaar will start after the Bhog of the Akhand Paath
Thursday 21th December, Akhand Keertan 6-10PM
Friday 22nd December, Asa Ki Vaar from 4am
Friday 22nd December, Akhand Keertan 6PM-12AM

Saturday 23rd December, Asa Ki Vaar - Start 4am.

Rehnsbhai - Saturday 23rd December, 6pm - 5am.

12th Coventry Sikh Youth Camp

No Admin form needs to be filled in for Camp, Please turn up on Saturday and Registration will be carried out after the 1st Assembly.

Just to let you all know that sikh youth and elders are getting together on the 16th December to do seva all day. Its from 9am till 4pm..

The seva that needs doing before the Youth Akhand Paath, AKJ Youth Smagam and the Annual Gurmat Camp (we will post details for the programmes very shortly) are as follows:

* washing all duvet covers and sorting all rooms out for the singhs and singhnia comming from abroad and distances to stay at the gurudwara during the smagam.
* cleaning all showers and toilets & tiles in all the gurdwara
* clean windows and doors etc
* tidy all diwan halls and change floor sheets, dusting and general tidy
* tidy store room and kitchen
* clean langar hall (i.e. clean windows, doors and decorate for smagam and camp)

These are all the main seva duties that need to be done - PLEASE can we all get together for just one day in this whole year that has past and do seva for our GURU, GURUS HOUSE AND THE CHARDIKALA SANGAT WHICH IS TRAVELING DISTANCES TO STAY WITH US TO HELP US PAPPIS ENJOY LAHA OF KIRTAN.

By Guru Sahib’s grace the Monthly Kirtan (West Bromwich) will be taking place this weekend on Saturday 9th December.

At Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Edward Street, West Bromwich (most likely in the youth centre).

Keertan will start with Rehraas at 6.30pm and will finish at 12 midnight.
